Teachers use it for area and perimeter questions, for writing and solving expressions from a rectangle’s sides, and for the Pythagorean theorem with a diagonal drawn. Add a unit such as cm or ft to every length, draw one or both diagonals and name where they cross, and mark equal sides with congruence ticks.

Yes. It is drawn in proportion to the lengths you type, so a 12 by 5 rectangle is more than twice as long as it is wide. It is sized to fit the figure, not drawn at its true size on paper.
Yes. Click the button after the side’s measure, choose Text and type x, 2x + 3 or anything else. The side is still drawn to the length you typed, so the rectangle keeps its shape.
Open Diagonals and tick Diagonal AC or Diagonal BD. Label it with its length, with text such as x, or with nothing, and draw it solid, dashed or dotted.
Yes. Choose Square under Kind and type one side; the other three are the same length. Congruence marks are never added for you, so tick each side with the button after it to show they are equal.
Yes. Drag any label on the figure to move it. Reset label positions, under Labels, puts them all back.
